Valeri Bozhinov officially returned to Levski for the third time. The forward signed for a year with the “blues”.
The experienced footballer arrives in Gerena after an unsuccessful stay in Pescara, Italy. Bozhinov was tasked with losing some weight from Levski boss Nasko Sirakov. He signed his personal contract after it became a fact.

Born in Gorna Oryahovitsa, Valeri initially coached soccer in Bulgaria, passing through the infant schools in Maritsa (Plovdiv) and Lokomotiv (Sofia). At age 12 he moved to Malta. At the age of 14, he was discovered by Lecce sporting director Pantaleo Corvino while competing with Pieta Hotspurs. He made his debut for Lecce on January 22, 2002 at the age of 15, making him the youngest athlete to appear at a calcium.
Bozhinov hinted at his talents with coach Zdenek Zeman, scoring 16 goals. At 18 he moved to Fiorentina.
In July 2006, he was on loan to Italian giant Juventus, after which he was returned to Fiorentina, from where he was sold to Manchester City for £ 4.1 million.
In August 2007, during a match against Manchester United, he suffered a serious injury that left him out of the game until the end of February 2008 and missed the rest of the season. Upon his return to the first game next season against Aston Villa, he suffered a second serious injury and missed more than half of the season. In July 2009 he moved to Parma, Italy. He played until the end of the 2010-11 season, during which he scored 3 goals in 31 championship games.
In the summer of 2011 he joined Sporting (Lisbon), and in the spring of 2012 he played on loan at Lecce. Then he played for Verona.
On January 18, 2013 he signed with Vicenza. A period followed in Ternana, Partizan, Meizhou Haka, Lausanne, Rijeka, Botev (Vr) and Pescara.
For the Levski team, he registered games in the 2013/2014, 2014/2015 and 2018/2019 seasons, in which he played a total of 31 games with 12 goals scored.
He made his debut with the Bulgarian national team at the 2004 European Championship in Portugal against Italy. The team scored its first goal for “A” on August 11, 2004 against Eire. There are 43 games and 6 goals.
