On September 15, the recruitment of enumerators and controllers for the next population census and housing stock begins in January and February 2021. No later than October 30, applicants must submit a sample request to the municipality in which they want to work.
More than 23,000 enumerators and nearly 6,000 controllers will participate in the next census, who will receive special training and sign a declaration protecting the statistical secrecy of the information received.
The most suitable are people who have a minimum of secondary education, occupation in the economic and financial field, with technical knowledge and who practice social and administrative activities, as well as students. The counters will have “working hours” from 8:00 to 20:00, including Saturdays and Sundays. This is the time during which they have the right to visit the homes in their census tract.
The enumerators will identify themselves with an official card issued by the NSI.
Each census area includes about 200-250 people and 80 households. A controller will coordinate the work and will be responsible for several accountants. The payment of the enumerators will be individual and will depend on the number of enumerators, homes and buildings.
