In the period from July 15 to August 31, 2020, KPKONPI held six regular meetings, in which it decided to file lawsuits in the country’s district courts for confiscation of illegally acquired property for a total of BGN 52,839. 107.40.
At the hearing on July 15, 2020, decisions to submit claims in the amount of BGN 13,851,321.52 were presented, two of which were submitted to the Sofia City Court. One is against Veselin Denkov (ed. At the hearing on July 22, 2020, it was decided to submit claims for a total amount of BGN 9,066,211.44. A lawsuit was filed in the Burgas District Court against Alexi Trifonov, a participant in a criminal group organized with Minyu Staykov. The prosecution has denounced that in the period 2009-2018 Trifonov kept products subject to excise duties without excise duties (cigarettes), the value of which amounted to 3,798,750 BGN. At the same meeting, the Commission decided to file complaints in the District Court. – Varna, District Court – Silistra, District Court – Targovishte and District Court – Razgrad, against various persons accused of committing tax crimes. The General Assembly of Silistra also demands the confiscation of assets of Evgenia Mutavchieva and Todor Todorov, accused of participating in a criminal group organized to receive pensions from third parties, without legal basis. The claim amounts to BGN 168,155.92.
On July 29, 2020, KPKONPI decided to submit claims for a total amount of BGN 12,291,536.47. A claim in the amount of BGN 157,055.50 was filed in the District Court – Veliko Tarnovo against Vasil Paskalev, accused that in 2019 he has deliberately facilitated the telephone fraud. At the same meeting, the Commission decided to submit property forfeiture claims to Evlogi Stanoev, Anton Stanoev and Georgi Stanoev (editor’s note: the Stanoevs are known as the Burmese. The most famous is Georgi Stanoev – Little Burma). The claim against Evlogi Stanoev and related individuals and companies was filed with the Sofia City Court and amounted to BGN 4,014,831.28. The price of the claim consisted of shares of the company Skalata-04 EOOD, Esta Trade EOOD, Sunny Estate EOOD, Dream 2007 OOD, Astoria Rent EOOD, the market value of the properties, as well as the cash in bank accounts. A lawsuit was filed against Anton Stanoev and related individuals and companies in the Blagoevgrad District Court for the amount of BGN 1,087,864.44. The amount comes from shares of companies GP Group-2010 EOOD, Wedgibles EOOD, Fishland Bulgaria EOOD, “Bio Fruit-2014” Ltd., “M Commerce” Ltd., real estate, bank deposits, warehouses, fields and the monetary equivalent of 3 cars – “Mercedes” CL 65 AMG ,, “Mercedes” CLS, “Audi” A8 Quattro. The claim against Georgi Stanoev has been filed in the Sofia City Court and amounts to BGN 370,026.64. It is claimed that the company’s shares will be confiscated from Ges 2010 EOOD, land holdings, as well as the market value of cars: Mini Cooper, Land Rover Gama, Porsche Cayenne GTS, Mercedes C 350.
In May 2020, at the request of KPKONPI, precautionary measures were imposed against Evlogi Stanoev, Anton Stanoev and Georgi Stanoev. The persons are accused by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of participating in a criminal group organized for the distribution of excise goods without a label and for money laundering. The Sofia City Court, Burgas District Court and Blagoevgrad District Court issued seizures and injunctions, at the request of the Commission.
A lawsuit was filed in the Sofia City Court against Zdravko Bosakov and related persons for the amount of BGN 888,505.59. The prosecution accuses him of receiving money in 2013 and of carrying out financial transactions for which he planned to obtain funds. which were acquired for a serious intentional crime, as the act was committed on behalf of an organized criminal group led by Tsvetan Vassilev. KPKONPI’s claim in court claims the value of a “Toyota Land Cruiser” car, an apartment in Sofia, a huge two-story outbuilding in the town of Slavovitsa, Pazardzhik district, company shares, the market value of the expropriated personal property, as well as the amounts of bank accounts.
A lawsuit was filed against Boris Avramov for confiscation of assets acquired through criminal activities at the Burgas District Court, for an amount of 3,223,999.96 BGN. Avramov was accused by the prosecution that in the period January 2016 – July 2018, he led a criminal group organized for extortion.
A lawsuit has been filed in the Sofia Municipal Court against Atanas Vassilev. He is accused of having participated in an organized criminal group in the period 2008-2017, having received movable property acquired with funds from the European Union through documents with false content. The claim against Vassilev amounts to BGN 478,749.40.
At a hearing held on August 17, 2020, KPKONPI made decisions to file claims in the district courts amounting to BGN 6,723,920.67. A claim was filed in the Sofia City Court against Konstantin Nenov, accused of being an official – Member of the Board of Directors of Alfa Finance Holding AD, in 2012 he transformed properties (shares) through sale, according to Ivo Prokopiev and Ivan Nenkov. The claim amounts to 3,145,330.18 BGN.
In Burgas District Court, a claim has been filed against Radostin Shturov for BGN 749,628.53. Shturov is accused of concealing special technical means (skimming device) to counterfeit payment instruments in 2015.
At a meeting held on August 21, 2020, KPKONPI made the decision to submit claims for the full amount of the claimed sums of BGN 5,429,629.60. A claim was filed in the Vidin District Court against Romelia Kirilova for an amount of BGN 4,125,398.84. In the period 2017 -2018, she participated in a criminal group organized with Vetko and Marinela Arabadjievi to avoid paying large amounts of taxes and operating with funds acquired from criminal activity.
A lawsuit has been filed in the Sofia City Court against Lyubomir Ivanov, accused of participating in a criminal group organized with Evlogi Stanoev in 2018 for possession and distribution of excise goods without excise labels and for financial transactions with funds obtained from criminal activities. The value of the claim is BGN 624,680.00.
A lawsuit was filed against Radoslav Nikolov in the Burgas District Court in the amount of BGN 203,161.33. The prosecution charged Nikolov with participating in an organized criminal group led by Dimitar Zhelyazkov (Mityo Ochite).
On August 31, 2020, KPKONPI decided to submit claims in the amount of BGN 5,476,487. A claim was filed in the Sofia City Court against Petar Petrov in the amount of BGN 4,756,740.78. The prosecution accused him that in the period 2008-2009 he used a false bank guarantee to misappropriate a large amount under a contract between the municipality of Karlovo and a contractor company for the reconstruction of an oil pipeline from a pumping station .
