This is the fifth consecutive day with more than 1,000 new people infected in the country with a population of 10.7 million people. The government has tightened the rules on wearing protective masks, but is trying to avoid strict quarantines.
In the Czech Republic, a total of 35,401 new coronaviruses have been identified since the start of the pandemic, including 453 deaths and 21,209 recoveries.
There are currently 13,739 infected people in the Czech Republic, including 297 hospitalized, 69 of whom are in serious condition, notes BTA.
