We are currently facing an unprecedented crisis, which is not only for Bulgaria but also for the world economy. This was said by the Minister of Economy, Lachezar Borisov, in the “Domingo” program on Nova TV.

Bulgaria, in the context of what is happening, is doing relatively well. Our country is in decline, but with 6.4% we are in the top 5 of the European Union with the least economic recession, in the top 5 we have the lowest unemployment and we are number one in the Balkans in terms of credit rating.
With the measures we are taking, we somehow managed to preserve the economic situation in Bulgaria, he said.
“An unprecedented crisis requires speed, publicity and transparency. A great advance is measure 60 to 40. The investments that have reached the economy under this measure are BGN 185 million, and under the measures of the Ministry of Economy we are approaching BGN 240-250 million.
We have a significant acceleration of the implementation of the measures. The crisis has made both individuals and businesses expect us to react quickly. We are initiating a geometric progression of accelerating the implementation of the measures, ”added Borissov.
Regarding the signals to receive the so-called “success rate” in the Ministry of Economy, he said the following: “We have 11 signals that will be investigated. We are awaiting the decisions of the Prosecutor’s Office.”
He said that under the measures to support small and medium-sized enterprises, more than 27,000 applications were submitted and 19,000 were reviewed and evaluated. Between 12,000 and 13,000 have been paid. The resource used under this program exceeds BGN 100 million, Borissov specified.
