Cornelia Ninova won a second term at the head of the BSP with 81.5%. In the first direct internal election for leader, 43,228 of the Socialists voted for her. This is demonstrated by the results of the electronic spreadsheets of the votes processed so far by the CEC Network, announced its boss Emil Voinov. The protocols must be processed by the municipal and regional commissions, as well as by the sectional ones, in order to have a triple introduction of the results.

The final membership of the BSP is 80,236, Voinov added. 53,806 Socialists voted, which is 67.1% and the vote is legitimate. 53 019 are the actual ballots.

14.9% of the Reds voted for Kiril Dobrev: 7,914 people. Krassimir Yankov received the support of 1118 Reds, which is 2.1%. 759 people or 1.4% voted for Valeri Zhablyanov.

“The socialists have shown with their activity that they want to choose that something depends on their vote. We have shown that we are a truly democratic party that consults and depends on the voice of its members how to develop its future,” Voinov commented.

The election was fair, the CEC created a level playing field for all candidates, they had advocates in each section, the elections were transparent to the media, he added. And she described the organization of the vote as perfect. The BSP is organizing some colorful elections, which may also be a reference for the national ones, the head of the Red CEC was blunt.

However, he clarified that these are preliminary results, the second introduction is near, of the protocols, and the final results will be clear tomorrow.

All complaints and signals are insignificant and do not affect the outcome of the elections, Voinov added. After the elections, they will be handed over to the All-Party Control Commission and those on the ground.
