While President Rumen Radev once again called out for the resignation of the cabinet, the residents of Tryavna demanded his and booed him, Darik said. He was greeted with shouts of “Resignation”, and his followers tried to greet him with applause.
The president is in Tryavna on the occasion of the nightingale in town.
In front of journalists, the head of state pointed out that the deep crisis of confidence can only be cured with resignation, fair elections and a new confidence, so that it is clear how it will work in the future.
Rumen Radev expressed his willingness to sit at the same table with political parties and members of the public to discuss the future of Bulgaria, but this should definitely happen after the resignation of the government, BTA reported. According to him, this stubbornness is leading Bulgaria to a dead end.
“When we resign, when we are preparing for fair elections, and all measures are taken to make them fair, then each party, each movement must establish around which principles we will unite in the interest of the people,” said the president. This discussion, he said, must include the issue of the country’s governance model, so that we do not witness atrocities that disgust people, provoke constant outrage and push citizens to the square.
Rumen Radev believes that an “integrity pact” is needed both for the government and for companies using public procurement.
