With powerful serves and punches, Osaka came closer to one game than sending the match in a decisive third set – 5: 3, then took the set with 6: 3.
In the third set, Osaka continued to lead the game, as she had done since the second half of the second half. The two traded a no-breakthrough game at the start of the decisive third, but in the fourth game Osaka put pressure on his opponent and managed to break his defense, leading 3: 1, and finally took the hit with 6: 3 to rejoice at last.
