Six people were injured after a fierce sandstorm hit the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Saturday. An impressive video shared by the city council shows a large beige cloud of dust enveloping the buildings.

Another video, posted on social media by Turkey’s Directorate General of Meteorology, shows huge clouds of dust hanging over houses in the capital, struck by lightning.

Since the end of last month, the city has been battling drought and hot flashes.

“Six people were slightly injured by flying objects after the high winds in Polatli and the surrounding areas. The number of injuries is likely to increase,” Ankara Governor Vasip Shahin said on Twitter.
