80,901 – that’s the number of BSP members. The figure became apparent only in the middle of election day, when socialists across the country directly elected their leader for the first time.

31,302 voted at noon, representing 38.69%, said the head of the Red CEC, Emil Voynov.

However, the membership is based on voter lists sent to the Red CCA, Voinov explained. According to him, today it will be a little less, because the municipal and district commissions eliminate the dead and they left.

In the Red CEC, 50 complaints and reports of violations by various defenders were considered. None of the violations is significant and may affect the outcome of the elections, Voinov stood firm.

Some of the complaints concern the changes in the voting tables. The replacement was necessary because mayors or vice mayors, who are not from the BSP, have violated preliminary premises agreements, explained commission deputy director Rumyana Siderova. This was the reason why voting began later on some of the sections.

There have been reports that some municipalities have not announced the hours of the mobile sections, making it difficult for defenders to find them. Rape has been eliminated in most places, Siderova explained.
It was also considered a signal for the too large mobile section created in the “Primorski” region in Varna, in which 418 people have to vote. There were doubts that all could circumnavigate, defenders were not notified. A second box has been shipped.

There was a complaint about the campaign materials on the committee table and they were removed.

Some complaints are that the lists are in OPO and not in alphabetical order, but this is not a violation, Siderova explained.

In some places there were disputes that were resolved in a timely manner.
