The speculation took place last night at a famous restaurant in the Dragalevtsi district. The Economic Police, the Labor Inspectorate, the National Revenue Agency, the Food and Fire Agency entered the restaurant, owned by Veselin Denkov. He himself was arrested on 1 September while trying to cross the Kalotina border checkpoint. One of the accusations against him is that he financed the protests. The inspection lasted about an hour and a half. No violations have been identified. Here’s what the restaurant team wrote on Facebook:
Tonight, around 7:30 p.m., when our team was serving rooms full of diners and we were waiting for reservations, our work was disturbed by an unexpected intrusion of representatives of the National Revenue Agency, RIPCHP, firefighters, economic police, inspection of work for labor action. our place – restaurant “Molino”.
Our customers were visibly concerned and interrupted their dinner, although our staff continued to insist on their high professionalism and doing their job.
We felt unfairly scared and threatened at work: our restaurant has existed since 1998 and is one of the most emblematic and emblematic of our capital. For more than twenty years, our team has welcomed diplomats and world celebrities and we have always taken pride in our good reputation and professionalism.
For a week now, our employer Veselin Denkov has been detained on suspicion of financially supporting the protests. He denied this accusation in court and we are sure of his innocence! If for months we were concerned about the lack of work due to the pandemic, today we are again concerned about our work, because such ostentatious actions call into question the legality and justice in our country. We accept that part of the obligations of the institutions are precisely the inspections, but with this mass they seem more like a criminal action. Action not only against our employer, but also against us, who here earn an honest living.
In all the protocols of the inspections carried out, no infractions were found!
We expect objective decisions from the court and that the opportunity to work in normal conditions and to continue doing what we love is not violated: receiving people in a calm and pleasant environment and sending them happy!
