Yoncheva: The song “Bulgaria” enters the EP in October, Ninova did not sign for the house in Barcelona

In the first week of October, there will be a debate in the plenary hall of the European Parliament on the rule of law in Bulgaria. This was announced by MEP Elena Yoncheva in a live broadcast on the bTV program “This Morning”.

According to her, this debate is made for countries that are in a critical situation.

Vera Yourova: We are following the protests, it is too early to monitor, alarm for the media

“There will be a resolution, this will have serious consequences for Bulgaria, the government will have no illusions,” Yoncheva said.

The European Parliament is already talking about the rule of law in Bulgaria thanks to the protests, he added. According to her, there are no major European media that do not write about the protests in the country.

“We can compare ourselves with Belarus on the trend, because we have an authoritarian regime,” Yoncheva explained.

I am concerned about the processes that are being carried out in the BSP, the MEP also commented and expressed her surprise that the current president of the party, Cornelia Ninova, has not signed the signs against Prime Minister Borissov.

“The issue of the LIBE commission became the so-called Barcelona case, with which the Bulgarian public is familiar,” Yoncheva said, displaying a set of folders next to her. She explained that these are the three signals that she sent in May of last year to the Attorney General’s Office – about the house in Barcelona and an inspection of all the companies related to it. “These are three signs that I have signed, but unfortunately Ms. Cornelia Ninova has not signed them. I don’t know what her arguments were,” Yoncheva said.

“For the first time in the BSP there is no debate, these elections are very strange and I think that after them the great debate will begin. What is happening in the BSP? It is not a question of who you will support, the question is who is going to these elections with what platform. There are no voter lists before the elections. This is absolutely unprecedented. There is no parliamentary debate. Mr Borissov is the one who escaped the parliamentary debate. I do not want the BSP to follow in the footsteps of Mr Borissov and become such a party. for example, why should the BSP join the protests, is it the largest opposition party, should it have led these protests a long time ago, brought people to the streets, led them, why doesn’t this happen, because people do not believe that this leader really fights corruption, “said Elena Yoncheva.
