The first employers’ organization came out with strong criticism of the cabinet’s management policies. In its position on the political tensions in the country, the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria (AIKB) speaks of the widespread corruption in the country, rigged public procurement and extortion by the state to take away businesses.
AIKB recalls the case of the state bat that landed on the Hipoland chain after the chain’s employees supported the protests against the government.
According to the business organization, which is one of the partners of the tripartite, law enforcement structures in our country are used to intimidate for the purpose of political obedience.
The feeling of lack of the rule of law and the security of private property is growing, BICA is inflexible.
Here is the full position of BICA:
And the blind in Bulgaria see how the political tension in the country grows day by day. The prevailing view is that Bulgaria’s development in recent years is not taking place at the required pace and the distance to other EU transition countries is increasing. The main internal retention factors are:
– Troubled business environment, especially in relation to small and medium-sized companies, where about 3/4 of the employees work and which generates more than 2/3 of the gross added value. The measures agreed with the government in the framework of the tripartite dialogue are implemented slowly and reluctantly or, as in most cases, not implemented at all;
– Insufficient transparency and control of public procurement. The feeling is that they are partisan lobbyists and are being used politically to push a series of “hoops”;
– Corruption is felt everywhere and on a daily basis;
– E-government is desperately late;
– The key energy carriers for each production have a non-market price, exert pressure and is treacherous at the national level;
– The quality of legislation and law making is low and law enforcement is selective.
– The list could go on and on, but the most worrying thing is that new sinister practices are being included every time:
– Organized crime through the state machine to take business;
Intimidation through the forces of order for political obedience.
There is a growing sense of the rule of law and the security of private property. The reason for this is not only the cases known to the media, including “Hipoland”, but also bills such as the seizure of “sleeping stocks” and, through them, the seizure of “companies awake, “or the innovations of Ordinance H-18. , through which certain people would obtain access in real time (through business information systems) to the know-how, all the technological and commercial secrets of private companies, without any benefit for the tax system, accompanied by huge unnecessary costs for companies, and inaccurate placements. definitions all in an “always guilty” situation, etc., etc.
These are the reasons for the unsatisfactory amount of investments in recent years (confirmed by the NSI data on the costs of acquisition of fixed assets, as well as the BNB data on FDI in Bulgaria). The link is direct: a lack of rule of law and property security, poor regulation and corruption lead to low levels of investment, and thus lower GDP and living standards and increased income. gap with other ex-socialist countries. Both materially and spiritually.
You have to tell the truth out loud: under these working conditions, a significant part of Bulgarian business activity leaves the country, as does a significant part of the population. Yes, production costs in the EU and US are higher, but legality is guaranteed. Therefore, Bulgaria is losing again – taxes, entrepreneurial talent and future.
Companies and all their representatives, employees and workers have equal and inalienable civil rights and responsibilities, including the right to protest and the obligation to maintain social peace. Any interference in business by state and law enforcement authorities with respect to free will for political choice and political action by owners or employees is a crime that must be investigated and punished. For the sake of integrity, we should add: in Bulgaria we agreed 30 years ago that we should finish building the party in the workplace, which means not only that there are no party organizations in the workplace, but also that there are no controlled voting and prohibitions of protests or forced evictions. at a hired worker protest. Businesses work. Civil and partisan action takes place outside the companies, respectively, state bodies do not take place in the companies due to political statements by people related to them.
