The second part of the so-called “Great Uprising of the People” in Sofia is currently underway with an increased police presence. As BLITZ wrote the square in front of the National Assembly is reached through the checkpoints, and the Interior Ministry searched the surrounding gardens and found dangerous objects.
So far there have been no clashes or tensions. At 19.00 Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd. and Nezavisimost Square are blocked. The police, who are in the front line tonight, wear vests with the inscription “anti-conflict”.
At the same time, however, the protesters are already picking up the flag that separates them from the police. A group of suspicious people can be seen in the crowd.
BLIC recalls that early in the morning the National Assembly was surrounded by police and gendarmerie. Three ambulances were parked at the entrance.
Shortly after 10 in the morning, the eggs flew towards the parliament building. This time they were significantly fewer in number than on September 2, and no police officers were attacked.
As BLITZ wrote That same day, the police searched the area around the yellow cobblestones and found a number of prohibited and hidden materials. – sprays, bats, pavers and knives. Checkpoints have been set up where those wishing to protest are registered, and the idea is to avoid provocations and escalation of tensions, such as on September 2.
An arrest was also made. A young man was arrested in whom the police found a Swiss army knife.
In the morning, meanwhile, lawmakers began their session by shouting “Resignation” under the windows of the building, but gathered a quorum.
Interesting images of what is happening at the moment in the power triangle show that there are quite dubious guys who have gathered in groups of several people.
