The bottles of liquid, which were found by police in the protest area in Sofia, contained a transparent flammable liquid. The 5-liter tube found was filled with polyurethane, the Interior Ministry announced. Examination of the items seized during a police patrol showed that some of the bottles had black and red paint on them.

Five men and a woman were arrested and transferred to the First Regional Police Station of the capital at the checkpoints. A search for one of them, a 39-year-old man, found two water pistols and pepper spray.
“After numerous signs were received yesterday that the water pistol containers could be filled with potentially dangerous liquids, it was decided not to allow them to be taken to the protest area,” police said.

A gas mask and knife were seized from a 24-year-old man and a knife from the purse of a 41-year-old woman. An unidentified man and two wanted were also taken to the police station. There it was clarified that the wanted persons had to establish an address.
After drafting the relevant acts for violations, the six were released.
