The illegal water intakes of the Vladai Canal divert water destined for the Studena dam, it was established during an inspection by the Minister of Environment and Water, Emil Dimitrov.

The basin directorates “Danube Region” and “West Aegean Region” also participated in the inspection.

Several illegal water withdrawals have been identified, including diversions for the Drudantsi drinking water treatment plant and diversions for the Kalo district of Rudartsi village. As a consequence of these and other deviations with unidentified users who have not issued permits under the Water Law, as well as the applications for permits submitted, not 100 l / s of water reaches the “Studena” dam.

The regional governor of Pernik and the Prosecutor’s Office will be notified about the deviations established to take actions within their competence, announced the ecological ministry.
