A MiG-29 multifunction fighter of the Libyan National Army (LNA), led by Khalifa Haftar, has been shot down in Libya. The Russian-speaking pilot managed to eject and filmed a video of the scene of the accident, writes the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper.

“I catapulted myself today: 45 kilometers from the airport. I extend my parachute, waiting for rescuers. I hit the rocks hard. The enemy jeeps are not visible yet. I will go to the valley ”, commented the pilot, explaining that he had ejected at an altitude of 700 meters. However, he did not say exactly who took down his fighter.

At the end of the video, a Mi-24 helicopter from the Libyan National Army arrives.

Earlier, the Pentagon announced that a group of military aircraft, including MiG-29 fighters, had arrived in Libya from Russia. The United States has repeatedly stated that Haftar’s troops receive Russian support.
