The duel was even in the first half. At the start of the match the hosts requested a penalty, but it was not awarded. His accusations were for a violation by Daniel Naumov against an opposing striker.

In the 45th minute, the “lions” took the lead. Ilian Iliev stole the ball from Kamenovic and advanced to the half of the Serbs. The Black Sea midfielder attempted a measured shot at Ilyich’s goal, the ball hitting the crossbar and getting tangled in the net 0: 1.

In minute 64 the result was already 2: 0 in favor of Bulgaria. An excellent counterattack and a great drive down the right from Stanislav Ivanov ended with a ground pass to Kaloyan Krastev, who promptly broke through the opponent’s guard for the second time.

In the 85th minute, the Serbs received a penalty. Asen Chandarov kept an opponent in the penalty area and the head referee pointed to the white spot. Behind the ball was Luka Ilic, who reduced to 1: 2.

In the sixth minute of stoppage time Stanislav Ivanov made a breakthrough from the left, but again showed his weakness in the final shot and went straight to goalkeeper Marko Ilic.
