“In connection with the debate scheduled today by the Sofia Party Organization among the candidates for president of the BSP, we declare that we will not participate in the event and will reject the invitation of the Plovdiv Socialists for a similar meeting-debate.”
This was announced by BSP deputies Valeri Zhablyanov and Krassimir Yankov in a press release.
Members of the BSP spoke out against the process of electing a new president
“We withdrew from the campaign and declared that the demands we made in a letter to the National Council, the Executive Bureau and the CICC on September 1 were not met. The established organization is a prerequisite for major manipulations of the electoral procedure and the substitution of the actual result. Cornelia Ninova’s manifestation in these debates is a demonstration of arrogant attitude towards the other candidates, as well as an insult to party members, who expected the campaign to be a presentation of ideas and platforms, rather than separate meetings with initiative committees.

Karayancheva: We are preparing for regular elections
We call for non-participation in the next elections, in order to give a clear signal of our attitude to the flawed procedure. Congress is our supreme body of the party, which must find a solution to the situation ”, said the position of the left-wing deputies.
