Ceca, 49, disappeared without a trace five years ago

A 49-year-old woman who disappeared five years ago turned out to be the victim of a brutal murder in the village of Polikraishte in Gorno Oryahovitsa. Human remains and clothing, which the prosecution considers to be on the national wanted list in March 2015, were found in an external toilet attached to a burned-out house in the town, according to “24 Chasa”.

The sinister find was found by the new owner of the property, who recently purchased it from a local priest and began repairs.

The police teams were immediately dispatched to the address. The alleged identity of the victim has been established from the operational search activities and the procedural-investigative actions. She is believed to have been missing since February 2015. In March of that year, she was declared wanted across the country. The cause of death is being clarified.

Investigators quickly located the perpetrator: Emil, 54, from the village of Polikraishte, who lived in the house of horrors until a fire broke out in the spring of this year. The man was a loner, with no permanent job, who went to help farm work in the gardens and yards around the town, locals said. His brother, the priest Stefan, let him live on the property. Earlier this year, however, the house caught fire. After the incident, Emil took refuge in another house and the priest decided to sell the property. This is how Ceca’s mysterious disappearance unfolded. He also made some money working in the gardens. She was separated from her husband, had an older son, say polyclinics in shock. In town, however, they do not know that Emil and Ceca had something in common. The motives for the brutal crime are still unclear. However, the man confessed to the murder, people familiar with the investigation said. He was indicted on Monday. By decree of the District Attorney – Veliko Tarnovo was detained for 72 hours.
