There is an urgent need to build emergency diversions at the Tsonevo dam near Dolni Chiflik to reserve Varna’s water supply, as well as at the Poroy dam and Aheloy dam – Kitka diversion to guarantee the water supply of Burgas and the region . in 2021/2022.

These are urgent measures that Valeri Simeonov will present to the Council of the GERB Coalition and “Patriots United” next week in view of the serious risk of introducing a water regime in Varna and Burgas next year.

The Minister of Ecology’s journey continues with the inspection of the Koprinka Dam, which was illegally drained, and subsequent problems at the Zhrebchevo Dam, which currently operates at 15% of its volume.

During the working meeting with Minister Dimitrov, problems with Dobrich’s water supply were discussed, as well as with the Wastewater Treatment Plant, financed under the Operational Program “Environment”.
