As a token of gratitude, the ladies of GERB, together with the regional head of the ZGERB-Plovdiv region Evelina Apostolova and the municipal head of ZGERB in Rhodopes Rositsa Voyvodova, placed a wreath in front of the commemorative plaque at the Toma Katsigra inn, where in July-August 1885 BTCRC, led by Zahari Stoyanov, decided to declare the Union between the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia.
Unfortunately, exactly on the holidays, President Radev’s protocol decided to throw away the wreath, which was already placed there, so that he would be the first to lay his flowers.
“Ugly and disrespectful demonstration with only one goal: ‘not to interfere’ with Radev. Once again, the one who has to unite on Union day – divide the people,” commented the GERB-Plovdiv region.
