Shortly after 8 pm on the 59th day of the protests, people once again blocked Tsar Osvoboditel Boulevard and the police did not intervene, Bulgarian National Radio reported. At 10 pm, the protesters also blocked Orlov Most.

Earlier, Nikolay Hadjigenov thanked the Bulgarian court for releasing those detained during the protests: “There is only one detainee who has a suspended sentence and numerous criminal records.”

The so-called The Poisonous Trio asked for volunteers to coordinate the protests in the country.

On Friday, Saturday, protesters rebuilt one of the tent camps on Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd., but it was later removed. Traffic on Eagle Bridge was also blocked for a short time, but was quickly restored.

The protesters are convinced that the protests will continue despite clashes between police and protesters on September 2.

The blockade of Orlov Most was lifted around 11:30 p.m.
