Another businessman complained about the inspections of various institutions of his company after authorities learned that the employees had participated in the September 2 protest. This is the Zagrey winery, owned by former NMSS deputy Yordan Kostadinov.

The case was first reported by Ofnews, and Dnevnik contacted Kostadinov for comment.

A company bus traveled from the warehouse in the Plovdiv region to Sofia for 6-7 employees to participate in the September 2 protest. “You don’t talk about politics in the company and I don’t know exactly how many people there were,” Kostadinov told Dnevnik. On the way, the bus was stopped for inspection by the police, the workers said they were going to protest, after which their names were registered and they continued to Sofia. Yesterday, September 4, inspectors from 4 institutions arrived at the company at the same time: Finance, Customs, Agricultural Fund and Economic Police. The inspection continued throughout the day and ended with no violations, the owner said. He added that the inspection did not hinder the work of the company, which continued as usual, but asked who this person was who had the authority to coordinate the inspections of four institutions. According to him, if there is no violation, the inspectors owe an explanation of the reason for this multilateral inspection.

According to the same scheme, the institutions subjected the toy trade chain “Hypoland” to a massive inspection on Friday after its owner criticized the actions of the Ministry of the Interior before the protests on the company’s profile on “Facebook”.

In a television interview today, the Minister of Labor, Denitsa Sacheva, assured that the inspections of the companies whose employees participate in the protests were a coincidence, which, however, was negatively perceived by the ministers. She recalled that the Home Secretary had called the head of Hypoland and stopped the inspection.

However, BSP leader Cornelia Ninova also mentioned other similar cases on Facebook today. She wrote that

The BSP has received information that “personal data was taken from the people present at the protest and then inspections were sent, including from the Agricultural Fund.”

When asked by Dnevnik if Ninova was referring to the Zagrey winery, the owner replied that he had not sent this information to the party.

The date of September 2 focused more protest activity, since that day the National Assembly resumed its work after the summer holidays, and the GERB planned and managed to gather the support of 120 votes for its much criticized draft of a new Constitution. That is why on this day the initiators of the Poison Trio protests had called a “Great People’s Uprising”, which began at 8 am instead of at night, as is customary in recent protests, and brought together a number impressive of protesters.
