Today another proof has appeared that the State uses institutions for repression. An action similar to that of the “Hipoland” toy store took place in Plovdiv. According to the site owner, his employees attended the protest in Plovdiv on September 2 in a branded bus, and two days later four institutions knocked on the office door.
It is a “Zagrey” winery in Parvomay. Its owner is former NMSS deputy Yordan Kostadinov. He told OFFNews that his employees had decided to join the demonstrations in Plovdiv on September 2, the day of the Great Uprising. They left Parvomay for the town under the hills in a bus with the company logo.
They were stopped on the way by the police and the inspection lasted 45 minutes. The workers told the police where they were going and the uniformed men wrote down their personal details and let them continue.
Two days later, a large-scale inspection by the National Revenue Agency, the Customs Agency, the State Fund for Agriculture and the Economic Police began at the winery.
Two of the institutions, the NRA and the SFA left very quickly, the inspectors said they saw no reason to inspect. The other two institutions, Customs and Economic Police, have been in control for a long time. After the inspection, they wrote a report that there were no violations, the owner said.
According to him, there are inspections in the warehouse approximately once every 6 months. But since its inception, inspections have always been carried out by no more than one institution at a time. According to him, it is obvious that the inspection is a criminal action for the participation of the protest workers.
“I ask who is this official who has the authority to send 4 institutions for inspection at the same time. Must be a high official. I want to know who he is and if he has exceeded his powers, ”says Kostadinov.
