The first Great Popular Uprising on Wednesday was marked by provocations by organized agitators who infiltrated the protest and with police violence. Subsequently, the GERB managed to collect more than 120 signatures from deputies to present a draft of a new constitution to the National Assembly and thus secure at least another 2 months in power.
In the early hours of Saturday, the gendarmerie cleared the protesters’ tent camp, which they set up last night at the Council of Ministers in Sofia, on the 58th day of the protests.
It was explained to the protesters that they were violating the Road Traffic Law and therefore had to remove the tents and tents from the road. The protesters did so voluntarily, bTV reported.
Thus, Sofia returned to dawn on Saturday without blocked intersections.
