Serbia and Kosovo have made great progress in economic cooperation.
This was stated by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, at the beginning of a ceremony at the White House to sign an agreement between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, quoted by Reuters.
The document focuses on economic issues and does not include clauses that recognize Kosovo’s independence from Serbia, nor does it exchange territories between the two countries. With the strengthening of economic ties will come a political solution to the dispute between the two countries, said Trump’s national security adviser, Robert O’Brien.
Following the ceremony, Donald Trump held talks with the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia, and then met with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
