The Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office detained for up to 72 hours a defendant who, without due permission, held and handed over explosives during the protest in Sofia on September 2, the state prosecutor’s office announced.
The 41-year-old man is charged with keeping an unidentified amount of improvised explosive devices in his backpack around 8.30 p.m. at the intersection of Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd. and Knyaz Alexander Batenberg St. without a proper permit. substances that he delivered to an unknown number of people who participated in the protest.
