Former member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian National Bank Boryana Pencheva has passed away, reports the BNB.
The Governing Council of the National Bank of Bulgaria conveys its deepest condolences to the family and relatives for the serious and irreparable loss.
Boryana Pencheva is a member of the BNB Governing Council from December 2, 2012 to December 1, 2018.
In 2010-2012 she was Vice Minister of Finance and Alternative Governor for Bulgaria of the International Monetary Fund, Governor for Bulgaria of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, International Investment Bank, International Bank for Economic Cooperation, Vice President of the Coordination Council in Struggle Against Fraud in the Council of Ministers.
Since 2011 she has been a part-time lecturer in “Regional Development and Infrastructure in the EU” with a specialization in “European Studies” at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
In 2002-2009, Boryana Pencheva served as Director of the EU Funds Management Directorate in the Ministry of Finance.
In 2001-2002 she was Executive Director of the Trade Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Economy.
