High-fee ATMs on the Black Sea coast are legal

The ATMs belong to an American company. There are many complaints about them on the north and south coasts of the Black Sea.

In Nessebar, a BNT team found two such devices, but neither worked. The signal on social networks that by conversion this type of ATM collects BGN 110 to withdraw BGN 800 is from this spa.

However, an inspection by BNB found that the ATM operating company had indicated the current fees and in fact there was no violation.

In Burgas there are devices from the same company in two places in the city. The municipality explained that they could not exercise control because the ATMs were placed in private places, which charged rent for this.

According to the BNB, there is no violation regarding the installation of these ATMs. The requirements are met. Of all the controlling institutions that monitor the activity of these ATMs, our team learned that it is legal, although none of these institutions controls how the service is performed.
