Sova Harris: the first in rating are the party of President Radev and Slavi Trifonov

Confidence in Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has dropped to 20%, which is in line with the proportion of GERB supporters.

Sofia Mayor and GERB Vice President Yordanka Fandakova (26.4%) and Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev (20.5%) have a higher rating than Borissov.

Confidence in Maya Manolova is 24.6%. A relatively high degree of confidence is placed in the two main contenders for the presidency of the left: Cornelia Ninova (16.9%) and Kiril Dobrev (11.8%).

The co-chairman of “Democratic Bulgaria” and leader of “Yes, Bulgaria”, Hristo Ivanov, has a 16.9% confidence. Krassimir Karakachanov (13.0%), Veselin Mareshki (9.7%), Valeri Simeonov (9.1%), Mustafa Karadayi (7.9%), Rumen Hristov (8.0%) also have a rating that exceeds that of the party they represent.

Electoral attitudes

For the ordinary elections of March 2021, organized by the current government, 35.5% of the voters. For early elections organized by an interim government, 47%.

54% of voters declare that they are completely sure they will vote. Another 18%: that they have some confidence and are likely to exercise their right to vote.

64% of voters give a specific answer about who they will vote for.

GERB remains the leading political force with 17.8%, but according to Sova Harris, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov’s party has lost 3.5% since the beginning of July. The coalition partner in government of IMRO and Volia, who generally supports the majority in parliament, has also declined.

Declared support for the BSP is 15.7%, which is an increase of 3.5%. The biggest advance is in “There are such people”, 4.9% compared to July. This positions Slavi Trifonov’s party as the third political force with 10.1%.

According to Sova Harris, support for the MRF is 5.9% and Democratic Bulgaria can count on a vote of 4.5% of the voters, doubling its political weight. Maya Manolova’s “Stand Up.BG” received 2.9%, which is 1.5% more than her support in July. 2.4 percent would vote for IMRO.

“Stand up.BG” together with ABV and “Movement 21” could account for 4.6%.

An option where GERB and BSP are not present in the next ruling coalition is preferred by 36% of voters. 19 percent believe that it is better for Bulgaria to be governed by a center-right coalition with the participation of GERB. 18% declare a center-left coalition with the participation of the BSP. A broad coalition between GERB and BSP is preferred at 5%.

Trust the parties

According to Sova Harris, according to the indicator of “confidence”, the new party “There are such people” is the best of all its opponents with 22.5%. This is because this formation attracts supporters from across the political spectrum, the agency explained.

The BSP has a significant confidence increase of almost 20%, and in this situation they are even ahead of GERB, in which the confidence is 18.8%.

In “Stand Up.BG” confidence is 12.5% ​​and in Democratic Bulgaria 9.9%.

Confidence, which has the potential to increase electoral burden, is also present in IMRO (9.5%), MRF (7.7%), NFSB (7.5%), Volia (5.9%) and ABV (5.4%).

Emphasis on protests and the VNS

According to the survey, unconditional support for protests against the government and Attorney General Ivan Geshev is 48%, with another 25% sympathizing, but with some conditions.

When it comes to radicalization and civil disobedience actions, the majority of the people already disapprove: 46% to 38% approve.

“The ideas that the prime minister brought to light through his proposal to convene a Grand National Assembly (SCJ) have changed the focus of public debate. Presented to the general public, without mentioning their original source, they received the approval of a “qualified” majority, according to Sova Harris.

The thesis that the Attorney General should be obliged to report to parliament every 6 months has the support of 84% of the population. The mandate of the Attorney General and the Presidents of the Supreme Courts should be reduced from 7 to 5 years, according to 81%. The proposal to reduce the number of deputies in the National Assembly from 240 to 120 has the support of 78%.

65% of respondents believe that mandatory automatic voting should be introduced. Remote voting on the Internet and by mail should be introduced according to 62 percent.

The idea that the next parliamentary elections are for the Grand National Assembly is not unequivocally accepted: 32.5% are “in favor”, while 35% are “against.”

According to 43 percent of the people, it is enough to make amendments to the current constitution. 17% believe that the current basic law should not be changed and 18% believe that it is necessary to adopt a completely new constitution.

Those who believe that the main objective of Boyko Borissov’s proposal is to raise important issues in the country for discussion are 22%. For 61%, the main objective is to buy time and survive in power.

Half of those surveyed believe that the government should resign first and then think about what to do. 31% do not agree with this thesis. 48 percent believe that whoever comes to power will do better. 29% do not agree with this statement.
