The state will create a chain of gas stations that will work for the new state-owned State Oil Company. In turn, it will replace the current state oil reserve.
The idea was recently circulated by the finance ministry. It is proposed that the State Oil Company be headed by the Minister of Economy.
The company will build service stations across the country next year in settlements and on main roads, the finance ministry said in a statement. State-owned service stations will also provide an opportunity to refuel electric vehicles, in the context of the strategy for a low-carbon economy and environmental protection.
In order to guarantee maximum competition in the fuel market, authorized warehousekeepers may not refuse to store fuels to other depositors. The state-owned company is also expected to have storage facilities to store fuels for other investors.
