Six protesters have already been detained by the Vazrazhdane party after their attempts to break the police cordon, the Interior Ministry confirmed to 24 Chasa. The fighting broke out at first, after which one of the provocateurs was arrested.
Later the crowd broke the police cordon in front of parliament and protesters stormed Tsar Osvoboditel’s boulevard. This required the closure of the boulevard.
Hundreds of police and gendarmes surrounded the National Assembly building, and the number of protesters has increased many times in the past hour. They demand the resignation of the government.
Generally speaking, there are at least 500 people, and the police say there are less than 1,000.
Among the protesters are Vazrazhdane Kostadin Kostadinov leader and dismissed judge Rumyana Chenalova. The crowd has already emptied the National Assembly area and turned to the Ministry of Finance.
The protest is guarded only by SDVR and gendarmerie officers, and there are no seconded police officers in the country.
