Bulgaria is already in an epidemic emergency situation

Bulgaria has been in an emergency since midnight. The surprising decision was announced at an extraordinary briefing last night by Health Minister Kiril Ananiev. The new measure came into effect immediately after the expiration of the state of emergency. The president refers the provisions of the Health Law to the Constitutional Court, and the parliament returns to work

The government’s reasons for the epidemic’s entry into force are the fact that the disease is of unknown origin, the scientific community worldwide still disagrees with the diagnosis of the disease and the fact that the outbreaks are throughout the country, except in family and hospital settings.

Until June 14, all the measures known so far remain in force, such as the use of masks in closed public places, public transport and the maintenance of the required distance. “Everything that is currently allowed to work will continue to work in the future, everything that is prohibited at this stage will not work from now on,” explained the Minister of Health.

The restriction for the entry of foreign citizens in our country remains. The 14-day quarantine remains, which will continue to be valid for both Bulgarian and foreign citizens. However, talks will begin with neighboring countries to introduce reciprocal travel measures. And the recommendation to employers is one. “Your staff should work as remotely as possible,” Ananiev explained.

Ananiev introduced 4 new orders for the emergency epidemic situation.

Measurement readjustment is not excluded if more than 100 patients are registered per day within a week.

Among the relaxed measures, free movement in parks and gardens is allowed. The necessary conditions have been created for the training of our Olympic athletes at most national bases. Football matches after June 5 will be held without spectators.

Meanwhile, President Rumen Radev referred the matter to the Constitutional Court for declaring an emergency epidemic. The head of state questions his announcement by the Council of Ministers, the lack of its duration in the provisions of the Health Law, the formal criteria to assess the danger to life and human health and the disproportionate restriction of his rights.
