Independent citizens, along with supporters of the Vazrazhdane party, blocked traffic on Tsar Osvoboditel Boulevard in front of the National Assembly building and attempted to enter. The protesters demand the resignation of the government.

The tension on the yellow cobblestones gradually increased to partial clashes with the police, whose presence intensified. Protesters attempted to storm the entrance to parliament, but were removed from the uniforms’ laces.

Citizens are angry that the Bulgarian state did not help them during the state of emergency and sentenced them to bankruptcy, hunger and misery.

Shortly after the protest began, a young man attempted to storm the parliament. His attempt was thwarted by uniformed officers who arrested him after several warnings to keep his distance.

According to BNR, the protests of the protest are already two.

“We consider this extension, which occurred last night, to be illegitimate. We have already filed a complaint with the Supreme Administrative Court, which is against the orders of the Minister of Health, said a participant in the protest, quoted by national radio.

“This is disgraceful: the repeal of the measures is announced and suddenly, in two days, they jump at midnight and new ones are introduced. What I was most displeased with was that the Bulgarian government was disapproved of as spectacular false news”, added another.

“We do not consider ourselves slaves and we want to break these chains. Our madness is that we are locked in a cage and dream of freedom,” said a third citizen.
