It is not a new discovery that the language spoken in northern Macedonia is a written regional standard of the Bulgarian language. There is no Macedonian language. This was announced a few days ago by the Vice President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Prof. Vasil Nikolov, after the presentation of the book “On the Official Language of the Republic of Northern Macedonia”, which provides a justified text on the language officer of our western neighbor.

Skopje immediately reacted to the statement and issued an official statement. The position of the Kraste Misirkov Institute says that the Macedonian language is a reality, not a form of Bulgarian written from the regional southwest.

According to Ivaylo Tanchev of the National Tradition Association, one of the proofs that Bulgarian is spoken in northern Macedonia is a map made by diplomat Dr. Todor Nedkov, bTV reported. It is clear that in this territory, which at that time was still within the Ottoman Empire in 1902-1907, 65% of the population was Bulgarian. There were 1,870 Bulgarian schools with more than 78,000 students.

He also showed a certificate of completion for a Kostur class. It shows what subjects children studied there in 1897 and what languages: French, Turkish, and Bulgarian. There is no Macedonian language anywhere, Tanchev specified.

There is no Macedonian language, it is an artificial language created 70 years ago, the representative of the National Association “Tradition” is categorical.
