23 are the new registered cases of coronavirus in our country in the last 24 hours with 1079 tests carried out. Therefore, the total number of infected people is 2004. Activity was observed in 10 areas.
9 of the new cases are in Sofia. Three of them enter the Military Medical Academy, two in the Hospital for Infectious Diseases, one in the Second City Hospital and three are outpatients.
4 new cases have been registered in the Yambol district. In Pleven and Blagoevgrad, two each, and in Burgas, Kyustendil, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Sliven and Haskovo, one each.
There is a new case of an infected 4-year-old boy. He was hospitalized at the Hospital for Infectious Diseases in the capital.
There are four new cases of infected doctors: one doctor and three nurses. Two of the cases are in Pleven, and one in Burgas and Pazardzhik.
There are 15 new healed and 93 people died. The average age of death was 66.7 years.
There are 368 coronavirus patients in hospitals, 50 of whom are in intensive care units.
In the United States, there has been a decrease in newly registered cases. For the day there are 18,196 and 1,008 new deaths.
In Russia, the trend continues to maintain levels of around 10,000 to 11,000 infected.
In Europe, the UK is the leader with 3,877 new cases per day. Spain follows with 3480, and in other European countries levels below 1000 new cases are reported.
In South Korea, for the second consecutive day, levels of over 30 were reported, prompting local authorities to resume some restrictive measures.
On the Balkan Peninsula, Turkey has 1,114 new cases, Romania has 226, and Serbia has 62. Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia have levels comparable to those in Bulgaria. Greece, Croatia and Albania, with 10, 9 and 4 new cases respectively. At the moment, there is a decreasing trend in levels both in the Balkan Peninsula and in Western Europe.
