It is not a pet of destiny. He has no home, he lives on the street. He has relatives, but is rejected by them. To survive, trust human almsgiving, writes Yantra Today.

As a child, Svetoslav Ganev, 32, has been subjected to severe tests and struggles for survival.

His parents separated him and abandoned him when he was only 8 months old. Little Svetlio spent his childhood in social homes and auxiliary schools in Alekovo, Balvan and Novo Selo. Primary education graduate.

He started studying in high school, but the lack of money rejected him and his home became the street.

“I was completely alone in 2000, when my grandmother died, she helped me and took care of me,” says Svetlio. The young man goes on to say that his father is not interested in him.

He is ill and lives in Strahilovo with his second wife. When he goes to them, the son feels unwanted and rejected by him and his stepmother. He discovered his mother only three years ago through the show “Judicial Dispute”.

He currently lives in the village of Obedinenie with another man. It turns out that Svetlio has many brothers and sisters, but he doesn’t know them all. Her mother has several children from different marriages. “Some of them are abandoned, others are crippled. I have two sisters in my father’s line. They are physically and mentally well. One is in Strahilovo and is married to a farmer, and the other lives abroad. My brother, who is from the same father, died two years ago in a social home.

He is buried in Veliko Tarnovo, I go to his grave regularly, “continues the words of the young man, who did not escape destiny.

Svetlyo temporarily lives with his sister and the farmer. He works for them, so he receives a salary and food. After a while, however, he felt unwanted and decided to leave. Explain that he felt like an intruder. The young man begins to look for work and meets different people.

Some of them get along with him, while others are cruel and tyrannical. He works in animal husbandry, in the production of bread, as a cleaner. He often earns some money for food by helping different people, transporting coal, wood, digging yards …

One of the most difficult periods of his life began when he hitchhiked to his beloved grandmother’s funeral. So Svetoslav takes the road to hell. A group of Dve Mogili Roma take him in his car and convince him to go with them to help put his life in order. Deceived by his generous promises, he inadvertently becomes his slave.

Initially, they persuaded him to donate blood voluntarily for his relative. Then he was offered to go to work abroad in agriculture, where he collected nuts, herbs and other similar things. Another part of the people with whom he was taken there were forced to beg. One day, Rome offered to sell his kidney to earn some money, he agreed.

A little later, after a conversation with his brother-in-law, who has a kidney, the young man changes his mind and gives up. By sharing the change in his decision, Svetoslav angered the tartar of the Roma group and began inhuman harassment against him. Then, chained, tortured with electric shocks, beatings and psychological torture. One day, thanks to the help of a neighbor, the young man still manages to escape.

He got rid of his torturers, but the homeless man couldn’t turn his back on his problems. He seeks help from the municipality of Veliko Tarnovo, but they tell him that they cannot help him because his address record is in the city of Byala. He shares that this is so, simply because it is registered with the address of an acquaintance. While living in Byala, Svetoslav spent the nights in old public baths.

When you came to Veliko Tarnovo, you found a similar place again: a room in the bathrooms behind the old rooms. After the Municipality closed access, he was forced to go under the bridge to the brewery. He also spent the whole winter there. The homeless man admits that the police have drafted acts of rape against him multiple times since he has no personal documents. Bad people keep destroying me, he explains. Svetlio washes and bathes mainly in rivers.

When she has money, she can afford to rent a room for the night to change her clothes and wash it. There is no money for the new ones, he dresses the ones that other people have thrown next to the containers. He is glad that they are at least clean. There are others who have given him good people, so he doesn’t complain about the lack of clothes. It is more difficult for him with his shoes, but he has not yet gone barefoot.

The biggest problem for Svetoslav is food. They used to give it away from a restaurant, but after changing staff to a new one, they ran out. It is now mainly powered by containers. He says that sometimes he doesn’t eat for a whole week.

When he manages to find a job, he is calm, but when he is not there and finds himself at a dead end, he is forced to resort to begging because he fears that he will not survive otherwise. He says that this way they don’t earn more than 20-30 BGN per day. “There have been times when I have invaded my life and because I am a believer, I know it is a sin. Until now I have survived only thanks to God. There are many beggars in the city and each person is different.

Some are aggressive, others are decent. There are those who ask to buy alcohol and cigarettes, but I do not smoke or drink. It used to be in difficult times to try to solve my alcohol problems, but this only helps temporarily and nothing changes. So I decided it didn’t make sense.

I even tried to kill myself with pills, but God saved me, “Svetoslav confesses. He adds that sometimes he is very scared when he is on the street because there are people who are rude to him.

The last great misfortune that happened to Svetoslav is related to the fire in the old diocese on April 1 of this year. According to him, he is a direct witness of what happened, he even claims that the arsonist took him by force and tied him to a tree in the yard of the property. He says the man who made it used Molotov cocktails, which he threw on the roof of the building and through its windows. Thanks to the rapid intervention of firefighters, Svetoslav also miraculously survived this time.

Sometimes the homeless man is among good people. When you have to part with them, you are always very sad. Despite his difficult life, he believes in good. Every morning he reads passages from the Bible, crosses himself, thanks God for keeping him at night, and prays to give him the strength to cope during the day.

He is grateful to God because he protects him from diseases and he has not yet taken him home, because he wants to find a permanent job and be able to organize his life at least a little. Svetoslav believes that the bright days are yet to come for him.
