This is a two-headed snake found in India. Shooting: Twitter
A resident of the Indian state of Odisha found a rare two-headed snake in the forest, the Daily Star reported.
Rakesh Mohalik is a photographer and lover of wildlife. He found the snake, it was 14 centimeters long and its two heads were fully formed: each had two eyes and a tongue, writes BG Voice.
The heads themselves functioned independently of each other and even fought each other for food. However, one head is slightly more developed than the other, says Mohalik, who says such creatures have a hard time surviving in the wild. He let her go back to the forest.
Such anomalies are rare: Two-headed creatures are born one out of every 100,000 living creatures. In many countries, they are perceived as precursors to disasters.
