Justin Gage achieved the most impressive victory of his career, finishing Tony Ferguson’s record-breaking series of 12 wins in the lightweight category and deservedly lifting the temporary title. The fiercest knockout in the division is already the first in a fight with champion Habib Nurmagomedov, after bathing in glory in the main event of the long-awaited UFC 249 gala night.
Tony Ferguson was considered by many to be the man who would end Habib’s rule, but he surrendered to Geji’s powerful fists and combinations.

The two began with loki exchanges. Ferguson was unsuccessful in hitting his opponent’s head, but he had one with kicks, while Geiji found him with his right several times.
The second round started with fierce exchanges on the stand, and again it seemed that Geiji was more successful. The speed of his hands won the exchanges and even slightly bled Karakonjula’s nose. Ferguson’s left eyebrow was bleeding, and his right eye began to swell severely after another powerful left hook from Geji. Ferguson’s face was already covered in blood, but he never stopped moving.
Geji continued to hit his opponent, and Ferguson had to start thinking about changing his strategy. A large loukik tripped Ferguson, but he refused to fall to the ground. And in this part, many of the fierce exchanges were won by Geiji, who sought a maximum of five minutes from the temporary light title.

He shook his head and accepted his defeat, but initially refused to congratulate the winner. Finally, the two embraced, and Karakonjula recognized Geiji’s superiority.
