An English Bulgarian from Sofia expanded the Todor Kolev dynasty

There is a fashionable tailor in the Shumen family, called Adam, many artists, a judoka and a british in the process of accession

Actor Todor Kolev, his brilliant memory, already has a great-granddaughter. It is named after her granddaughter Theodora on 5.5.2020, what a date! – she gave birth to a daughter. She and her English father, Joseph Good, called her Jane.

If Jaina chooses film and stage years later, she will be a fourth-generation Kolevi actress.

Petar Kolev and his wife Victoria laid the foundations for the Kolevi family, and little Toshko was the first outbreak of the family tree. He was born on August 26, 1939.

Later in the family a second son will be born: Peter, who will make a name for himself in the sport of judo.

The father is a tailor with his own company and fashion store, which also has clients in Sofia and 14 workers. As the entire team belongs to the German company “Adam”, Adama became the nickname of the fashion tailor. The firstborn

Todor will be the first

little Adam,

and then also Adam

In the autumn of 1962, from the second attempt, Todor Kolev entered VITIZ. He became friends with Nikolai Nikolaev, who in the coming years would become known as Bate Nikolai.

The two quickly smell “toads” and realize they are of the same blood type. The two are getting married in their second year. Nikolai, who is one month ahead of his friend, for the directing student Margarita Valkova, Todor, for his colleague Adrina Palyusheva.

Both are

great beauties,

but they are both taller than their husbands. To level the playing field, the two buy bombs. One afternoon, the two couples return home and are almost alone on the tram.

Two not very big boys get up and start teasing the women. Todor and Nikolai set out to defend them. However, the two grab the peripheries of the pumps and bring them up to the chin. A scandal broke out, the Whatman stopped the tram, the police arrived. The victims want the two hooligans arrested. “How are we going to arrest them?” Exclaimed one of the policemen. “These are the famous boxers, the Stavrevi brothers!”

When they graduate from high school, Todor Kolev knows he has no chance of staying in Sofia, but he tells the commission that he wants to be assigned to the city theater, which begins with the letter C. The commission doesn’t seem to like jokes. and send it to Smolyan

On the stage of the Rhodope Drama Theater, Todor Kolev performs in one production: Nikolai in Maria Simova’s “An Extraordinary Process”, directed by Redzheb Sadakov.

Her partner was actress Ivana Dzhedzheva, who later went to the Burgas Theater and there became the wife of Nedyalko Yordanov. And Todor and Nedyalko will meet for the first time in Shumen and will remain friends for life.

While at the Smolyan Theater, “Tsar and General” was released, with which Todor Kolev made his film debut. His wife jokes: “Hello, my husband is a filmmaker!” Years later, he would write that his wife was making fun of him and that she was mischievous.

In Smolyan, Adriana Palyusheva became pregnant and she and Todor Kolev used this fact to escape Rhodopes to the actor’s hometown. And there, a new twenty.

Adriana – “beautiful and young”, in the words of Todor himself, was immediately taken to the theater, but there is no place for “the Shumen boy and the Shumen graduate”!

Before the New Year, however, he was named and here, on his local stage, he received his first leading role in the theater: fifth in Nedyalko Yordanov’s “We Don’t Believe in Storks.” After only a few performances, the play stopped after a party-fueled scandal.

On September 22, 1966, Adriana

gave birth to her daughter Albena,

recovers quickly

and was invited to play in Varna.

Todor accompanies her, although there is no place for him in the theater either. But there are many places where you can play and sing at will.

And then “like heavenly manna” came Krikor Azaryan’s invitation to include him in the Plovdiv Theater group. And what group only: Tsvetana Maneva, Ilka Zafirova, Stefan Mavrodiev, Anton Gorchev and his wife Sonya Markova, Severina Teneva, Elena Raynova, Rusi Chanev, Milen Penev, Adriana Palyusheva, Elena Baeva, Dobromir Manev … About 15-16 – What VITIZ recently graduated or thirsty for theater and fame artists. It’s a miracle!

While in Plovdiv, Todor Kolev won his first prize. At the 1969 National Review of Bulgarian Drama and Theater he received first prize for a male role for his participation in Haytov’s “Boat in the Forest”.

He shared the award with Georgi Kaloyanchev for The Old Man and the Arrow and Apostol Karamitev in The Monk and His Sons. It can be said that he already shares a place with the greatest in the profession.

In 1969 the Plovdiv company was dissolved. Theater director Slavi Genev was fired. Young artists want Krikor Azaryan to take their place. After this did not happen, some of the actors went to Pazardzhik and others, including Todor Kolev, arrived in Sofia.

Ivan Kondov, who is the director of “Tear and Laughter”, takes him in his company. The theatrical life of Sofia by Todor Kolev begins. It’s a popular name in Plovdiv, but here is Sofia, Grandma, Sofia! …

“I don’t name you as a star! Let this be clear to you. You come as an ordinary artist to this theater.” The words are from Nikolina Tomanova to Todor Kolev.

She is the newly appointed director of the Sofia Theater, he is unemployed after the scandalous departure of Tear and Laughter. The reason: it confuses the date of the performance and does not appear on stage, so it fails.

Despite Nikolina Tomanova’s warning, Todor Kolev became increasingly famous and popular and gradually gained star status. Thanks to the theater, the cinema, the shows, the songs and, of course, the television.

And while he’s at the Sofia Theater, he slowly but surely climbs the ladder to reach his peak in The Man-Eater, he’s making a leap in the movies. He owes it to Metodi Andonov and the movie “The Goat’s Horn”.

Meanwhile, Todor Kose is divorcing Adriana Palyusheva. The two are physically separated, she plays at the Pazardzhik Theater, he comes to Sofia, and creatively. Palyusheva is proud and does not want Todor to request a date in Sofia or another theater in Sofia. He believes that the roles he will receive, if they are together, will be thanks to him.

Palyusheva later married Pavel Poppandov, and they had a daughter named Lily. And Todor lives with Dorothea Toncheva.

Both are stars in the Teatro Sofía and also film in the cinema. They often travel in Europe. And again, as with Palyusheva, a creative problem arises between them: at one point he jerks forward, she stagnates. They separate, but often play together. In the movie “Royal Play”, for example, there are husbands.

Dorothea marries the poet Stefan Tsanev,

Todor is getting married

his fellow citizen

by Shumen Yordanka

They once lived across two streets. He is about to move from the capital because he does not have a residence in Sofia.

And she was banned from traveling abroad because she was the wife of a Belgian arms dealer. After her death, they wanted to evict Yordanka and her daughter Anriet from Sofia.

With “connections” thanks to his fame, Todor solves problems. The two spend their honeymoon on a trip to England and France. This is not the case with Yordanka’s magnificent house in Simeonovo, which has already been confiscated by the state. Todor Kolev managed to buy it again. Her son Alexander was born there.

In the family though

is accommodated

jealousy

– Painful of you. He went to Canada, where Todor Kolev was a counselor at the Bulgarian embassy. There, Jordanka took Chinese medicine courses. After the end of his term, he refused to return to Bulgaria and the two separated.

Her son Alexander is a drummer, he plays in a band. In 2015, just three months after the death of his father Todor, he married Ani Teneva, publicist and publicist. After two years of marriage, they divorced. They separated without scandal, their daughter Isabella stayed with her mother.

Todor Kolev’s third wife is named Maria. When he was 6-7 years old, he fled with his parents from Bulgaria to Italy. After six months in a refugee camp, the family managed to move to the United States. When Maria finished high school, she returned to Bulgaria with her mother. The father stays there.

He and Todor Kolev met Blagoevgrad. He is filmed in a movie, she is a curious observer. After many vicissitudes on May 2, 1998, the two married.

This is the first

marriage to the actor,

which is ecclesiastical

– They are married in the monastery of Kilifarevo.

Meanwhile, the daughter Albena grows up and one day tells her father that she will run for VITIZ. He doesn’t stop her, but he doesn’t help her prepare for the exams.

Albena graduated from the institute in 1989 in Professor Krikor Azaryan’s class and calmly accepted the distribution in Pleven. So this is essential and all the (almost) young actors start somewhere on the pitch.

Albena’s first role in the local theater was as a presenter in Nedyalko Yordanov’s children’s play “Scary Laughs, Funny Fears for Heroes with Tails”. After Pleven, Koleva worked at the Sliven, Blagoevgrad and Pazardzhik theaters, in Sofia’s “Tear and Laughter”, MGT’s “Behind the Canal” and Satire. It is now in the National Theater. He played with his father in the television series “Morning Block”.

Albena is married to Ventsislav Kulev, also a VITIZ graduate. He made his film debut as a student in 1978 in Rashko Uzunov’s “Run … I love you”.

After 7 years on the country’s theater stages, he devoted himself to journalism and drama. He worked for BNR and BNT, he has an advertising agency. One of his works is called “Premiere in one day”. Surely you feel the allusion to the title of the film “Mr. for a day”, in which Todor Kolev, father-in-law of Ventzi Kulev, played the main role.

He and Albena are against their daughter Teodora becoming an actress. And he promised them for a long time that he had no intention of following them in the profession.

“As a child, she came with me to the performances and stood behind the scenes,” says mother Albena. The scent of the stage grew close to her. At an important time, you shouldn’t influence your child; he could make her unhappy if he forbade it. And I told her that she had to choose for herself that regardless of the decision she made, she would carry her on her back for the rest of her life … “

Todor Kolev is also

against her granddaughter

study at NATFA

But when Theodora makes a firm decision, she helps her with the exams. However, when he applied, hardly anyone knew about his relationship with the great actor.

Teodora joined NATFA from the second attempt, as did her grandfather Todor in VITIZ. He – in Prof. Krastyo Mirski’s class, but due to the division of the class she graduated with Prof. Nikolay Lyutskanov, she started with Prof. Stefan Danailov and graduated with Prof. Ivaylo Hristov.

55 years after Todor Kolev made his debut in the television series “Accident on the Quiet Street”, his granddaughter Teodora Ventsislavova Kuleva played her first television role. The “Stolen Life” team invites her to the role of Sofia Kuzeva’s daughter, whom we remember from the Evergreen movie “Yesterday”.

“I am not one of them

people who are

with sick ambition

– says Todor Kolev’s granddaughter in an interview. – I want to go so far as to carry his name with dignity, and if he looks from somewhere, to say to himself: yes, eventually he became a good actress. When your life is marked by such a great talent, you can hardly overcome it, but I want to go so far as to do my roles with dignity and that the audience respects me … “

Theodora has already acted in films, in a small role in the comedy “Rapid Response Corps”. She was also a guest actress at the National Theater, where she acted in two productions: “The long way from day to night” and “Life is wonderful”.

In January 1919 Theodora married her friend Joseph Good and lived with him in London. This is the reason why he left the “Stolen Life” series.

But here on the stage of life there is already the little beauty Jana Joseph Good …
