Dramatic situation at the entrances of the blocked Sofia, reported Nova TV.
In the last weekend, there were massive police checks, nervous drivers, and columns of cars. Dozens, however, spent the night on the street, waiting for a transit window to open. More than 60,000 vehicles have left Sofia in the last business days. Almost 17,000 are the cars that were allowed to leave the capital on the weekends.
The great return to the capital for some drivers was not according to plan, although they tried to arrive early in the morning.
Others, however, had to supplement the data in their field statements. “They want me to write my boss’s name and number. I travel to Germany, I come from Dimitrovgrad. I filled them out, but they also wanted my boss’s name. It seems too much, there is no such thing in Germany,” said one of the drivers.
“We traveled to Pazardzhik 15 days ago. I am currently authorized and my girlfriend is not allowed because she has a valid address. I was told that I should go to work and leave her here,” said a man who tried to enter Sofia.
There are no changes to the entry measures, police said. “The people who will enter Sofia will have to declare again the circumstances of the visit to the capital. What they will declare in the documents will be compared with what they wrote when they left the city,” said Chief Commissioner Georgi Hadzhiev, director of the Interior Ministry. .
The National Headquarters once again shared its main concern about mass travel before the holidays. “Sofia is the largest home. Many people, having left Sofia, could have spread the infection, otherwise it is not excluded. You will see the number of cases yourself,” said Maj. Gen. Ventsislav Mutafciski.
Almost 60 violations have been found so far. “There are people who declare employment and are registered in the Labor Offices. Others declare that they work in specific commercial companies and it turns out that they do not have concluded contracts,” said Georgi Hadzhiev.
The fines for incorrectly filled data are from 100 to 300 levies, as well as a sentence of up to 3 years in prison.
