Apple introduced the new generation of its affordable iPhone SE smartphone series, keeping the model name unchanged. The device is practically an improved version of the iPhone 8, almost identical in design to the iPhone 8. The construction is made of aluminum and rear glass.

Again, it’s based on a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with True Tone, Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. Large screen frames are visible around the screen, with a Home button with a built-in Touch ID fingerprint sensor underneath. The button is covered with sapphire crystal.

At the heart of the device is the A13 Bionic chipset, which is also used in the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max, which is a prerequisite for high performance. There is a choice between 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of file storage. The main camera is unique and includes a 12MP f / 1.8 aperture sensor. Thanks to the new chipset, shooting in Smart HDR and portrait modes is possible.

The company also added monocular depth detection technology for distance and face detection through machine learning. Optical stabilization is also available when capturing video with the main camera. Video recording is up to 4K at 60 frames per second and the front camera is 7MP.

Battery capacity is not announced at this stage, but it supports fast charging technology of up to 18 W, as well as wireless charging. However, the adapter will come with an adapter that delivers up to 5W of power. Other features of the device include Wi-Fi 6 and LTE-A wireless connectivity, the option to work with two SIM cards (one is eSIM), Haptic Touch and IP67 certification for dust and water resistance.

The new iPhone SE will be available in black, white, and red, with pre-orders in Germany starting April 17 and sales April 24. Prices start at € 479 for the 64GB variant, range from $ 529 for the 128GB and go up to € 649 for the 256GB edition.
