Three more people in our country have died from coronavirus-related complications and their total number is already 31.
The deceased are a 68-year-old Hissar woman with multiple comorbid illnesses, a 58-year-old man in Haskovo and a 38-year-old man in Pirogov who has severe bilateral pneumonia.
The head of the national staff, Ventsislav Mutafchiiski, explained that the young man was in a very serious condition but had no accompanying illness.
A total of 17 men and 14 women have died. Their average age is 64 years.
The total number of proven cases of coronavirus infection in Bulgaria reaches 676, after 7 new patients with Covid-19 were registered in the last 24 hours, 6 of which were hospitalized. Yesterday’s increase was 1%.
There are 4 cases in Sofia, two of them in Pirogov, one in Tokuda and one outpatient, Stara Zagora, two, Pazardzhik, one.
There are no new infected medical personnel. There are 36 cases.
The Sofia-based municipality reported that people infected with the coronavirus are under the Social Patronage Worker Testing Program, as well as BRC employees and volunteers. Of the 30 people surveyed in Social Patronage, one sample is positive and two are doubtful. More research is ahead. 30 BRC employees and volunteers have also been tested. One of them has antibodies, a sign of an illness.
Research on the contact points of people with positive results is forthcoming.
There are 71 healed, three new, two from MMA and a man from Sliven. A total of 47 men and 24 women. Their average age is 48 years.
There are 230 people in the hospital, 36 of whom are in intensive care. The largest group of patients is in Sofia: 401 cases, 134 are hospitalized, 27 are intubated. The next highest number of patients are from Plovdiv – 16, of whom 4 are intubated.
575 are the active cases of the disease in our country at this time.
Mutafchiiski said there was no downward trend, despite the lower number of people infected last day. He said more evidence is expected to be confirmed.
There are two main campaigns for the detection of the sick or newly infected. One is in Bansko and Dobrinishte. Testing continues.
The other is on one of the warships that has returned from teaching. There are about 200 people there and they are subject to investigation.
These samples, especially in the military, are in the order of test for antibodies where two people are found. PCR tests will be performed. The results could be a message tomorrow, Mutafchiiski said.
He reported that 15,000 doses of chlorine phosphate drugs have been received in our country. Stocks of drugs are essential. More than 16,000 people can be taken with full doses for treatment.
