A brutal tragedy took place in Tsvetnitsa in Velingrad, where police discovered swimming coaches from their home Yordanka Penina and Velcho Kleshkov and their 23-year-old son Vladimir.
Police said just before 10 a.m., the family’s neighbors had made atypical noises from the athletes’ home. Upon arrival of the police agencies, they found the bodies of the family, BNT reported.
According to unofficial information, Velcho, 68, first killed his wife, then his son, and committed suicide.
The site was inspected by a guard team from the Regional Police Department-Velingrad, with the participation of experts from the Scientific and Technical Laboratory of the Ministry of Interior-Pazardzhik and a court doctor.
The bodies were transported to the forensic unit at MHAT-Pazardzhik for autopsy. Work to clear up the incident continues with the team formed under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office in the regional city.
Velcho Kleshkov and Yordanka Penina are well known swim coaches from the Belmeken Sports Club, well known to the local community.
