Claudia Kesher was interviewed for the Meridian party. This is what the attacker said:
Claudio, how do you feel about quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic?
– It is very difficult. It’s impossible for active people like us to do a show because we don’t know when this unusual situation will end.
Has it ever occurred to you that all the sports in the world will stop?
– No, I didn’t even think about it. I have been playing soccer professionally since 2002. I realized that I have never had such a great vacation since then. Perhaps in the 2006/07 season I rested for 5 weeks. However, this is nothing compared to the current crisis. Also, I’ve always had a chance to see a friend, talk. I’m staying home now. It’s horrible, I hope it’s over.
Do you manage to train well in this situation?
– I am making a lot of efforts. I train regularly and follow all the measures of the country and the program of the club. I cannot afford to relax or gain a few pounds. If I do this, I will lose 90% of my potential and then it will be very difficult for me. So I alternate different exercises, for strength, aerobics. I do even more things and work harder than if the situation were normal. I do not set limits. I want to resume training, be in good shape in 3-4 days.
Is there any advantage in this life?
– The only thing is that I have more time for my family and my children. I have two small children, 3 years and 6 months, with whom I play. However, I miss soccer as it is my life. Before having a day off, I was thinking again what can I improve in the game, what can I do to raise my level. Now sometimes I just play too much with the kids so I don’t get tired and stay cool for individual workouts.

Do you make plans for when workouts can start?
– It does not depend on us. We are required to stay in good health. Hopefully by the end of May the restrictions will be eased. I work so that I can quickly get into rhythm. We have been resting for almost 5 weeks, with approximately 5 more weeks to come. We are in the middle of the road.
Would you share the situation in Romania?
– It is more difficult in Romania than here. People can only leave their homes with special statements. This was one of the reasons why I preferred to stay in Bulgaria and not return to my home country. I have to isolate myself there, and then I have to quarantine here.
Do you have family or loved ones affected by the virus?
– No, fortunately everyone is protected and has no problems so far. But my mother and my two close friends were completely isolated.
What about the other Romanians on the team: Cosmin Motsi and Dragos Grigore?
– I haven’t heard them in the last 4 days and I don’t know where they are. I have not spoken to them since the state of emergency and it gave us the right to choose.
How do you spend your free time? Movies, series, books?
– I am currently reading about training courses, license B. I have decided for a year or two and am using it to advance. So far, I’m just reading, I haven’t taken courses, but that will be soon.
Are you going to train coaching courses here or in Romania?
– I’ll do it in Romania. First, because my level in Bulgarian is still not as good as I want it to be, and there are certain fees and I don’t want to take the place of some Bulgarian. I think that is correct. But I will stay in football and become a coach because that is my passion.
How did you accept at Ludogorets the fact that club owner Kiril Domuschiev was one of the first to become infected with a coronavirus?
“We have been thinking about him the whole time, but we know he is a strong man and a great fighter, and he will do well as he has. He was sympathetic to his family, which was a difficult situation.
He had said long ago that Ludogorets’ big goal was to win 10 consecutive titles. Are you getting closer to its implementation?
Whatever happens, the championship will be over. I can say that we are very close to the ninth title. We have 9 advancement points and one less game. Our season so far has been remarkable. We parted ways in the Championship, qualifying for eliminations from the Europa League. Despite the changes in the coaching position, our course is clear and we are only moving forward.
Your contract expires at the end of the season, do you plan to renew it?
– Basically, I contacted Ludogorets to stay here. We have agreed on a new contract, and I also feel good in Bulgaria, I like being part of this great team. After the crisis, some things may have changed: The club may have imposed financial restrictions. If that happens, I will fully understand the manual. The decision can also be modified. But I reiterate that my desire is to stay.
You were talked about by Carter Al Ryan. Do you know something about this?
– I know that when they speak of interest in me, Ludogorets says that they will not let me go and that they will wait for me when I leave the city so that I do not leave. I’m kidding. Certainly my first option is to stay at Ludogorets.
What is your favorite match with the Ludogorets jersey so far?
– They are many. It is difficult for me to cut. But I always give priority to European parties. However, if I have to choose, I will point to two. The first is with Arsenal in the Champions League. Then I scored my first goal in the League. The other match is victory this year over CSKA Moscow. In pointing out these matches, I’m not just talking about efficiency. For me, complex presentation is always important: the tactical and technical aspects, the intensity.
