On Thursday morning, Dr. Ivanova was admitted as a patient in the infection room where she worked. Her condition worsens for hours and she is resurrected. On Friday morning she was intubated and at night she lost her battle against the disease.

The Bulgarian Medical Association opened a donation account on Monday to support families of doctors killed by a coronavirus. Because it is more important than ever that the medical profession and society are united and do not remain indifferent to the pain of others. They will transfer BGN 5000 to the relatives of Dr. Ivanova.

Iliana Ivanova’s husband is also a doctor in the infection room and is quarantined there. On social media, hundreds of people have expressed their condolences to the doctor’s family.
