The forgotten Spanish Hesse Rodríguez can now boast a championship title away from home.
The former Real Madrid (Madrid) player has been part of Paris Saint-Germain for four years, but his matches for the French are not much, as he has so far played for four other teams during this period.
However, Hesse is the champion of France. With one minute played for PSG in the fourth round of the Ligue 1 Championship against Metz. Local soccer rules state that any player who has registered even one minute for a championship team may be called a champion.
Two days after the championship minute, Rodríguez was hired at Sporting (Lisbon) and played a dozen games in the Portuguese capital before the season was interrupted.
Hesse has five Real Madrid trophies, including the Spanish title and two Champions League wins. However, after moving to Paris, things did not unfold to his liking and he consistently played retired at Las Palmas, Stoke City, Betis and now Sporting (Lisbon).
But he is a one minute champion.
