Since Monday, she returns to her office as a jeep, her mandatory isolation of 28 days has passed.
She donates her due compensation to the hospital in Smolyan
Her sixth-year medical student is a front-line volunteer at an infectious clinic.
N.The expected vacation for me was those 28 days that I spent in mandatory quarantine after a positive coronavirus test.
This is said by Dr. Daniela Daritkova, President of GERB GHG and Head of the Health Committee in Parliament. She and her colleague Daniela Maleshkova gave a positive test when evaluating MPs in early April, days after it was revealed that MRF MP Dr. Hasan Ademov and his family were infected with COVID-19.
According to an order from the Minister of Health, compulsory home isolation is subject to all persons confirmed in an epidemic study that they have a coronavirus. And this, if after these days the control test shows that the virus has been eliminated.
Dr. Daritkova admits that she was concerned when she heard that she was infected.
“Who do you think will happen to him? Why, after taking all the measures?
What is going to happen
although nothing
that i am healthy
– this virus is
still with
unclear nature “
were her first questions that she struggled to answer.
When you begin, remember that the week before the positive test you had a slight discomfort, but you did not pay attention to it because it was not serious.
“In those days I was feeling tired and generally tired, I put him under great stress and the fact that sometimes in the spring my hemoglobin falls. I decided it was because of the busy rhythm of life and the change of season. I had significant complaints. I started drinking vitamins and trace elements combined and continued with them. I have not taken any other medications, “says Daritkova. Until his diagnosis, he kept the Easter fasts, but then decided to eat well.
The mild form of the course of the infection is explained by the fact that it comes from the large category of people who manage it “on foot” and the strong immunity of their work as a doctor in an infectious environment.
“I have rarely been sick until now. I do not have serious illnesses. I even managed the flu for the last time in 2010. I remember it, because then it was very widespread and it was topical. Swine flu,” says the deputy.
For the first time in her 30-year career as a doctor, she had many days off, but she strictly adhered to the prescribed isolation, although she heard Smolyan’s rumors that she was breaking out of quarantine and leaving.
“The hardest part for me was in Tsvetnitsa, because I couldn’t see my mother, who is turning that day. I asked the neighbors of the florist to bring her flowers over the phone,” said Daritkova. And this Easter will be remembered as the loneliest.
With great relief she received the news of the negative samples from her husband, Nikola Prodanov, and all the contacts. Only then did he indulge in activities at his home in Raykovo.
“I love the garden, I like to grow flowers and ornamental shrubs. They need constant care since we have a dog.
I have never wanted to have a dog, but I have been looking at it for 12 years, Lara is a breed of Bulgarian Shepherd. We joke that this is the party dog. She quickly became a neighborhood favorite due to her good humor, “she says.
Daritkova’s husband is also a doctor but a veterinarian. However, he has not practiced for many years. Her son Boris is divided by 3 state exams for the human medical diploma. He is in his sixth year and has been a volunteer at the first line infectious disease clinic since the pandemic began. He sees this as a very useful practical experience, but he doesn’t want to advertise it. He prefers that no one knows so as not to speculate.
“I’m already
calm that
my son
perceives
medicine like
your vocation
and she will practice the profession responsibly, “says the mother. Dr. Daritkova is a specialist in pediatrics and general medicine. His career began in 1990 after graduating from St. Petersburg Pediatric Medical University.
She started studying medicine in 1984 at the Plovdiv Medical Institute with the idea of becoming a pediatrician, so she took the opportunity to continue her education in Russia. After graduating due to the paucity of jobs for pediatric physicians in those years, she has accumulated the necessary experience to pursue a specialty, replacing colleagues at all levels of pediatric care.
The 2000 reform saw her as a pediatrician and, by coincidence, she had to become a general practitioner. Dr. Daritkova often
he calls himself
general practitioner
MP,
Because 3 days a week he is a jeep of more than 3,000 patients, and the rest of the 11 years is a deputy. She says she is used to the constant division between commitments: simultaneously writing pills and leading the largest parliamentary group in parliament and a tough committee like the health committee.
Even during quarantine, he participates, albeit remotely, in the work of the parliamentary group and treats patients by phone, WhatsApp, Viber. He constantly received drawings, cards, songs, balloons, and wishes from his patients.
“I am grateful to my dear relatives, friends and neighbors who have helped me to face all the daily challenges of quarantine. I thank everyone who provided me with biological products and herbs. I thank Nurse Zorka Pavlova-Gegova, with whom I have worked for more than 20 years, to continue to be the head of the practice, thanks to my colleagues, and especially to Dr. Mariana Vassileva, who took care of my patients.
I also received great moral support from my colleagues and associates in the National Assembly, ”says Daritkova.
On Monday, she returns to her office at MHAT-Smolyan to be available to her patients.
“My profession and vocation is to be a doctor. I entered politics to be useful with my knowledge. You cannot be in politics for a long time, my profession is a profession for life,” says the MP. She stated that she donated her salary owed in the hospital to Smolyan Hospital.
