1594 are confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our country according to data from the national operational headquarters, as of 5 pm today, May 2. Today, 6 more new cases have been tried: in the districts: 3 in Sliven, 1 in Stara Zagora, 1 in Yambol, 1 in Sofia. The labs continue to work.

321 are people with confirmed COVID-19 placed in medical facilities. Of these, 40 are in intensive care units and clinics.

In general terms, 795 of the cases of COVID-19 registered in our country are for men and 799 for women.

174 are medical personnel who have confirmed coronavirus infection.

As of 5 pm, the cases recorded in the referral provided by the National Operations Headquarters were in the districts as follows: Blagoevgrad – 50; Burgas – 47; Varna – 26; Veliko Tarnovo – 24; Vidin – 125; Vratsa – 9; Gabrovo – 6; Dobrich – 13; Kardzhali – 13 years old; Kyustendil – 69; Lovech – 2; Montana – 18; Pazardzhik – 27; Pernik – 19; Pleven – 157; Plovdiv –76; Razgrad-1, Rousse-15; Silistra – 5; Sliven – 52; Smolyan – 36; Sofia – 729; Stara Zagora – 38; Haskovo – 17; Shumen – 4, Yambol – 16.

COVID-19’s deaths were 72. A 68-year-old man, suffering from heart and respiratory failure, died at Blagoevgrad Hospital. At the Vidin Regional Hospital, a man died at the age of 80. The patient suffered from ischemic heart disease, chronic heart failure, and a heart attack. The third death is from Pleven. An 82-year-old woman who had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic heart failure died.

The Ministry of Health extends its condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.
